Amazed beyond Words

So yesterday was a very cool day!!  I got an email from Paypal...I was confused, especially since I didn't recognize the name.  I opened it and read this, "Christine, you don't know me and I don't know you, but I found your blog when looking for some support groups for a friend going through fertility issues.  I don't have a lot of extra money, but wanted to help.  Good luck in your adoption -- God Bless!"  WOW!!! I was completely moved and humbled!! I was in awe, and I was speechless.  I got goosebumps and teared up!!! I have no way of contacting this person back, but if you're reading this, I can't say thank you enough!!!  Just for you to do what you did left my husband and I completely speechless and completely grateful for you taking the time to do that for us!!  God is amazing and completely shocked me that day.  I was praying that morning about this whole process.  I have been praying over our birth mom that we will be working with, our baby, a

Amazed and Blessed

Wow, where to even begin!?  This weekend we did our garage sale, and wow what a great experience as we had signs EVERYWHERE to let people know that all funding was going towards our adoption.  We were asked several questions about what we were doing and why.  Great way to tell our story.  Yesterday a guy came over, stepped into the garage and said, "Well, I don't need anything, but I want to help towards this great cause..." and proceeded to drop some money into our donation jar!! :D  Then today lots of random things happened...one couple came, didn't buy anything, but asked lots of questions and then said, "Well, hey, I want to pray for you guys.  I want to pray that things will work out, for this baby that you get, and the process in general." I grabbed Steve and all 4 of prayed! How cool is that!!!  Then later today, I gave some left over hot dogs to my neighbor and a water (he's handicap now because of a job injury), and he knows what we are doing...

So Loved!!

Hey there little one! I can't express to you how much you are loved by so many!!!  Your daddy and I have been working hard to get things in order, to raise the money, and to build up items all to bring you home!!  You are so loved beyond measure and we are just happy to be able to take this journey to get you in our arms.   To help with raising funds, your mommy decided to pick up her haircutting skills once again...all because of you and how much we love you!!!  She doesn't mind doing hair at all, so it's been fun getting into it again. She's missed it actually.  She is giving haircuts for $5 for kids and $7 for adults.  OMG, just in the past day alone we were able to raise over $40 for you!!! How cool is that!?!?!?  Just that much closer to bringing you home. Then to top it off, we are having that garage sale I told you about.  This is that big weekend already!!! Yesterday your mommy spend the whole day going through things and sorting them out and pricing everyth

New Things

Well, we are still waiting on the courts to give us that piece of paper that makes everything official, but we aren't just waiting for them...in the mean time we are working hard at raising funds and gathering some things for baby!  Over this past week we were able to get two things for baby.  We got a baby Einstein jumper and a crib mattress.  The cool thing about the mattress is that we got it for only $15 and it looks like it's brand new!! We don't have a crib, but at least we have the mattress for when we do.  Normally those things are $100 and up!!! :-/  Craziness!! Below are the pictures... Baby Einstein Jumper Crib Mattress What a great find we ended up finding for both of these!!! :-)  Funny thing...we are having a garage sale next weekend, and yet here we are picking things up and adding them to the choas of our disarray bedroom as we prep for our sale...hmm...I don't think I thought that one through! LOL Baby O you are so loved be

Waiting

Sometimes waiting can be such a bore! We are still waiting on the courts to give us our official paper to say we are good to adopt (although we don't have to actually wait for it if we find a birthmom between now and then).  We are also waiting on our orientation class on the 25th before we can go farther with the agency we have chosen.  Which is fine.  In the mean time we are just praying that all goes smoothly, praying for the birthmom and everyone involved in this process, and just that God's hand will be in this every step of the way. So nothing new as for paperwork, however, our thermometer (to the right) keeps on growing which is amazing!!! We are now pushing $1400 which is awesome!!!  We continue to pray that finances will continue to come in.   We are just finishing up grant applications.  We will be sending out one this weekend, so we pray that it will fall into the right hands to help us with this.  We really are trying our best to do this debt free, so having grant

Dear Monkey,

Hey Monkey,  We can't wait to meet you and to hold you.  I think of you on a daily basis and pray for you too!  We are so excited to meet you! Daddy is looking forward to being able to take you to ball games and to hang out! Mommy is looking forward to cuddles and kisses.  :)  We are in the process of doing a garage sale to help bring you home! We have a lot of things so far being donated from so many people who are ready to meet you.  We will be having that soon. So many donations have been given to us to help bring you home, it's incredible!! The next thing we have to help bring you home is a karaoke night with a silent auction.  I wonder if you will like to sing...I wonder if you will like to play an instrument.  Your mommy has the flute she loves to play, maybe one day she can teach you too! Or maybe you will not like either, and that will be ok.  We will love you to the moon and back and more, no matter what you like and don't like. We are so in love with you (even t

But we are grateful to be able to use this beautiful cradle. :-) so baby now has a book shelf, dresser, and cradle :-) oh and a toy lol Here's the picture of the cradle...
