His Promises Kept

I understand I have been quite on here, but really there hasn't been a lot of stuff going on.  We have been off and on shown to birth moms until just recently when it really started to pick up. So I talked to our advocate through Building Arizona Families on Sunday (8-25-13).  She gave us 3 more of their information...we went ahead and said yes to 2 of the 3 of them.  Last week we talked to her and she gave us a couple of birth mom's information and we said yes to them as well.  I can't even tell you how many birth mom information we were able to get, or how many women we were shown to...I'm thinking around 5??   Anyway....she called me again on Monday! She tells us that we didn't get shown to one of the birth mom's like we were suppose to be...but instead...showed us to a birth mom that we chatted about the day before.  She then proceeds to say, "Well, she chose you guys."   WHAT!?!?!?  We were chosen!!???  I was so dumb founded and shocked it t

Well, Friday July 5th, I got a phone call...the first phone call.  I got a call about us having the opportunity to be shown to a birth mom.  Wow!? Really? Already? We have been on the list (that's pending, not active yet, but still have the possibility)...just a month ago....and now....we can actually be shown???  Wow...that's amazing.  I talked to the social worker as she went into all the details about the birth mom and some of her own history as well as her family.  I couldn't believe the things she's been through.  My heart broke for her...and for her situation. I found about some of the issues that she is dealing with that could be harmful to baby, but after talking to people in the medical field and looking lots of information up, I found that as long as mom has been treated, then baby will be fine.  Phew that's a relief...now I'm just praying for a healthy baby, regardless who has the privilege of raising this child...and I'm also praying for mom.  Sh
