His Promises Kept

Well, baby wanted to be modest and not show if we are going to have a boy or a girl...but that's ok. :) Either one we will be completely ok with because God has a plan and a purpose for this little one and we will do our very best to raise this baby to be a follower a Christ. Even though we couldn't find out what the gender is, we still were able to get some very awesome pictures of the littlest one. :)  The lady doing the ultrasound actually said that birth mom was measuring at 17 almost 18 weeks, putting her due date to be around March 5th...so we will see what happens when we go for future check ups. This appointment was my first appointment both with birth mom and where I got to see a baby and hear the heartbeat. Wow! That was the coolest thing I could have ever asked for!! I am very blessed to be able to have such a great relationship with our birth mom, and to grow such a bond and love for her and her own family!!  She truly is an amazing woman and God knew what he was

It has been absolutely wonderful being in contact with our birth mom! We were actually able to hang out and have lunch with her on Sunday, along with her 1 year old.  We also were able to meet birth dad for just a few minutes too (he didn't eat with us though, it was at the end when we were saying good bye).  We had such a great time just hanging out and chatting.  We feel completely blessed to have been chosen by such a great person! We are so thankful she's in our lives!!   Birth mom and I have been chatting through text for awhile now, and it feels like we are long lost friends! We have found several things that we share in common and just being able to chat off and on with her has been awesome. I have enjoyed every moment of it!  We have our first apt together this Friday too, and I'm excited because afterwards we get to hang out and chat some more. :) Also, we are hoping that we get to find out if baby O is a boy...or a girl... :D  Either way we will be completely fi

Dear Baby O, I wanted to take a few moments to tell you how exciting we are to be able to meet you (and soon!!!)!!  We found out a week ago today that you were going to be in our lives and we couldn't be happier!!!  We don't know yet if you're a girl or boy, but either way we are excited to call you our son or daughter!! :)  You are going to do amazing things and be an amazing person that God has called you to be.  Please note that not only does your mom and dad love you very much, so does your birth mom and dad!!!  They love you so much to be doing such a selfless act. I have had a few people ask us about our match meeting...so I figured I'd just write about it for all to read. :) Ok...so I had to go ALL FREAKIN' WEEK knowing that we were meeting with a birth mom on Friday. What in the world was I going to do for a week to keep my mind occupied!?!?!?  Oh man, Thursday morning came and I was so nervous, and it wasn't even the day of the meeting!!!  Lunch I had a hard time eating just because of the nerves. It's finally Friday...the day of the match meeting. I guess I ended up being eager beaver because we were there 30 minutes early! I thought it was at 9am, but it was at 9:30am...oh geez...oh well...better early than late right!?
