Dear Monkey,

Hey Monkey, 

 We can't wait to meet you and to hold you.  I think of you on a daily basis and pray for you too!  We are so excited to meet you! Daddy is looking forward to being able to take you to ball games and to hang out! Mommy is looking forward to cuddles and kisses.  :)  We are in the process of doing a garage sale to help bring you home! We have a lot of things so far being donated from so many people who are ready to meet you.  We will be having that soon. So many donations have been given to us to help bring you home, it's incredible!! The next thing we have to help bring you home is a karaoke night with a silent auction.  I wonder if you will like to sing...I wonder if you will like to play an instrument.  Your mommy has the flute she loves to play, maybe one day she can teach you too! Or maybe you will not like either, and that will be ok.  We will love you to the moon and back and more, no matter what you like and don't like.

We are so in love with you (even though we have never met you yet)...and we are looking forward to watching you grow and learn!  There will be times that you might not make the best of choices, and we will have to correct you in a way you might not like, but you know what...that just means that we love you so much to make sure we correct you.  I hope you remember that when that time comes. 

 Grandma and Grandpa O and Grandma and Grandpa K are so looking forward to meet you too!! They are so excited and can't wait to hold you, love on you, kiss you, and spoil you!!! :)  You are already SO loved!!  Gma and Gpa Ki are looking forward to taking you to Disney when you get older!!  Gpa O will most likely take you to the ball game.  Gma O will love and kiss on you, and will take you to fun places too!!  

 Your aunts, uncles, and cousins are all excited to see and meet you! They are all ready for another little one to be added to the family tree!!  They can't wait to kiss you, hold you, hug you, and watch you grow and learn as well!!

 Know this monkey, you were chosen, you are loved, you are special, you are unique, and you truly are a gift from God!!!  <3 <3

Amazed and Blessed

Wow, where to even begin!?  This weekend we did our garage sale, and wow what a great experience as we had signs EVERYWHERE to let people know that all funding was going towards our adoption.  We were asked several questions about what we were doing and why.  Great way to tell our story.  Yesterday a guy came over, stepped into the garage and said, "Well, I don't need anything, but I want to help towards this great cause..." and proceeded to drop some money into our donation jar!! :D  Then today lots of random things happened...one couple came, didn't buy anything, but asked lots of questions and then said, "Well, hey, I want to pray for you guys.  I want to pray that things will work out, for this baby that you get, and the process in general." I grabbed Steve and all 4 of prayed! How cool is that!!!  Then later today, I gave some left over hot dogs to my neighbor and a water (he's handicap now because of a job injury), and he knows what we are doing...

Fundraising

Well, here we go with starting to fundraise to get the funds we need.  It's amazing how expensive the road to adoption is. We are looking at around $25,000. This will cover the agency, attorney, and birth mother expenses.   You can follow how we are doing by watching the ticker in the side bar.  Here is where we can use your help...you can do one of the following... 1. Surprising News

I have been calling around different agencies to see how much their covered costs are.  I have accured a lot of information over the past couple of weeks on how agencies run and what their pricing goes towards.  This is what I have found so far... Most agencies range between $20-30,000...about 75% of that is to market to the birthmothers as using adoption as a means for their child, instead of abortion.  Then on top of that are attorney fees (not always, but this seems to be on the general range)...and those will depend upon how long the case lasts, etc.  So that's probably another $5-10,000...then on top of that there are birthmother expensives.  I was told that if you don't help pay the expensives then it will take an even longer time to get matched.  So tack on another $5,000 or so....and this money is non-refundable if the birthmother changes her mind during or just after the baby is born (in most agencies).
