His Promises Kept

We had such a great and fun day yesterday as we did a Mommy and Me Spa Day as a fundraiser event. A HUGE shout out to 3 special ladies who helped me IMMENSELY on this project...from loaning their home, to helping with food, decorations, props, and so SO much more!!!  Another shout out to the many ladies that helped donate items as prizes and gifts to the lovely ladies and their littles!!! (Pictures to come later) So, here is how it worked: Moms and their their daughters came to pamper each other! Mom did daughter's hair, nails, makeup and then took their pictures! <3 Then the daughters did the same!!  Everyone had a great time as they created memories with their little(s) and helped support bringing home baby! <3   We were able to raise about $250 from this event, which wasn't bad at all!  We are looking at doing another event in August.  We want to do Bunco!  We are also looking for at least $5 gift cards (or more) to anywhere....gas cards, Kohls, Walmart, Target, S

Well, we heard back from 2 of the grants and we didn't get either of them so far. The one that we were looking into was a matching grant (which we were unable to get)...and the other was just another grant from an organization that had some criterias of christian family, those with kids were looked at but those without would take top priority...and some others...thought it would be a perfect match for us...we still have one more left that I remember that hopefully we will hear from at the end of the month.  Crossing fingers that we get something...any help would be awesome!!!  We also need to finish our paperwork for 1 more, but I'm a little reluctant because this specific ones are more partial to over sea adoptions...so I'm not sure if they would even consider us...but it's worth a try. This sure did make my day!! :D  Was given some items for Baby who doesn't even know us!!  A site on Facebook that I'm on is doing random acts of kindness...a lady chose me, but most of all...she chose our Baby to give to. :)  Baby is beyond blessed!! :D Thank you again!!!

Dear Monkey, You are blessed beyond measure and loved beyond words!!  A couple of days ago we received a package from Grandma and Grandpa K.  They sent you a couple of onesies...some fun monkey socks...and Grandpa picked out a cute charm for your backpack for when you are old enough to put it on that...in the mean time it's on your diaper bag. :)  We also received a lot of onesies for you and 2 pants!!  The lady that gave them to you has a grandson who outgrew them.  They are looking pretty sharp! You would like them (especially if you end up being a boy lol)...but if not...there are a few in there that can still be worn! :) We also got a call today from one of our grants.  She was asking me (mommy) questions about daddy and what he does...she also wanted to know how much we needed still to bring  you home....then at the end she said that she was going to make a recommendation for us in hopes to get a matching grant.  Oh honey!
