Getting More Real/Home Improvements/Karaoke/Raffling
That is a long title, but when you read, you'll know why! :)
Well, yesterday became even more real for us as we set up our crib. We were able to purchase a used, but still in excellent condition, crib. The lady asked if we were expecting (I'm sure she was wondering why I didn't look pregnant, but wanted a crib lol)...I said no but we are adopting. She was like, "Oh that's awesome! Congrats!" She then started asking questions about the process and what was going on, and how it worked, and even wondered why a mother would even want to give her child up for adoption. Very neat experience to talk to her about. She then asked if we needed anything and I said, well I know we need some other little things and that...but that they are on our amazon wishlist. I then said we needed crib sheets (mainly to Steve), but she heard and then offered to give us 2 sheets...both from Babies R Us and 1 brand new!! She said she just bought it and used it like 2 times maybe. It does have sport balls on it, but I took it anyway because really...baby isn't going to care what he/she is sleeping on! LOL And girls can like sports too HAHAHA :D
Now that we have the crib up and ready to go, the more I want to get ready for baby so much more! LOL One of my best friends said, "You're just nesting like crazy!" HA! I told her yes I think I am!!! LOL Just getting so excited and it's feeling so real. We have our first class next weekend (the 20th) too for our agency, then one more in May...then OMG we'll be on the list...... EEEEeeeekkkk!!! :D
When we had our interview with the agency...she said that she thought we would have a really good chance of being chosen quickly because we were still young. I told her that I thought that was funny she said that, because during orientation, I was looking around and even told Steve....oh geez...we're the only young couples in here! haha Who knew! We just keep praying that God is going to continue to work everything out. We still need the rest of the money by the time we are chosen (or at least within the few months left before mom is due...) otherwise, we will have to pass. So please...pass the word along! We are hosting a karaoke night and raffling (even if you don't sing...which I DON'T!!!...) just come and joy in the fun. We will have pulled pork sandwiches, and some finger foods. Flyer for the event is below in picture form...if you would like a PDF file, please send me a message and I'll email one to you because Blogger won't let me upload a file like that. :( Feel free to print the photos out and pass them out...even if you're not in the Phoenix area, you can still get involved with buying tickets for our baskets and prizes that are up for raffling.

1. FREE 30 minute photo session and CD with pictures (must live here in Phoenix area for this one, or schedule to visit and use it)
2. FREE haircut (must be here in Phoenix, or schedule to visit to use it)
3. Date night basket
4. Dog basket
5. Cat basket
6. Family Fun Night basket
7. Mary Kay basket
8. Handmade Angel
9. Chocolate Lovers basket
Tickets are only $2 a piece!!!! That's a steal baby!! :D I have below the pictures of the cat basket, dog basket, angel, and photo session certificate, and the rest will be posted later when I get them.
